Goals, goals, goals

Goals, goals, goals

Well, first goal of 2019 is right on track…get healthy!

I hate putting a specific label on it like dieting, working out bla bla bla. I am working on my overall health, both physical and mental. Nate and I have started eating in a lot more, drinking less and trying to stay away from the devil…aka C-A-R-B-S!

Let me tell you, it has NOT been easy, but shockingly not as hard as I expected. I’m really digging how I’m feeling and looking! I am so much more awake and just motivated, its awesome. And that little bloat tummy is gone, which is a plus ;)

I noticed results 36 hours in, literally as soon as everything just left my body it was like immediate relief. And in terms of cravings I do miss mindless snacking but I’m not craving starches and sugars as much as I thought I would. It helps that the diet literally consists of cheese, cheese and more cheese! Only slightly kidding, but it is high fat and high protein. Not quite “keto” per se, because let’s be real we still drink too much wine for that but really trying to watch what our other carb intake is like…

Tips and tricks

  1. Cook on butter, its delicious

  2. Limit your wine intake to about a glass a night, or drink the Skinny Bitch if you’re into that (aka vodka soda)

  3. Keep your veggies green and your berries red

  4. Bake with almond flour and unsweetened cocoa and you don’t have to give up sweets

  5. Don’t cry if you need a cheat day, its ok

  6. When all else fails…just melt some cheese and eat it

There you have it, just an example of some of the tasty things we’ve been eating. Really trying here, will keep ya’ll updated of how its going, so far we haven’t gone crazy LOL…
