A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life

This is always such a highly requested topic and I figured I’d give it a go! Dive in with me as I go through my typical week day. Between the horses, the hubby, and the dog there is always adventure to be had. So here it is, a day in my life. Enjoy!

6 a.m.

Wake-up, stretch, drink water

6:30 a.m.

First cup of delicious cold brew, black

7 a.m.

Head out to feed and bring the horses in

7:30 a.m.

Second coffee or iced green tea, time to check social. This is my time to just relax and enjoy quiet time, while hubby is still sleeping. Usually I’ll watch some clips or read some articles

8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Time to head down to the barn and get the day started riding

11:30 a.m.

Breaking my fast, usually with some eggs, oatmeal, smoothies or avocado toast. I like to take some time and have breakfast with hubby. (He likes when I cook, less for him to do LOL)

12 p.m.

Now is my time to work on my blog, catch up on emails, clean up a little, or run some errands

2 p.m.

Feeding the horses, turning out, doing barn chores

3:30 p.m.

Time for a workout. I’ve been loving HIIT workouts recently, I feel like I can mix it up and get my sweat on

4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Downtime… aka puppy time, maybe some yoga

6 p.m.

Time to start on dinner. I love, love, love cooking so I’m always making “gourmet meals” at home. You can check out some of my recipes here

8 p.m.

Time to spend quality time with the hubby. We like to unwind watching some great shows like Grace and Frankie, Lucifer, and yes even Game of Thrones (him NOT me)

9:30 p.m.

Time to turn in, I’m an early sleeper. Usually this happens with ear plugs and an eye mask because Nate is still up for a few hours

And there you have it…my day in a nutshell! Of course this changes depending on what I’ve got going, but in general this has been how I want my days to go. I think it’s important to just do what works best for you and try and include lots of water and even a little bit of exercise to keep you healthy, happy and sane!

Be You!
